Shoosmiths advises Krispy Kreme on opening of largest UK store in Glasgow Robin Mitchell

Shoosmiths’ real estate team has advised long-standing client, global doughnut company, Krispy Kreme UK, on the opening of its largest UK store at Braehead, just outside Glasgow.

The doughnut giant’s new premises – which includes a drive-thru - is unique in that it is based in the former Clydebuilt Scottish Maritime Museum.

Shoosmiths real estate partner, Robin Mitchell, and associate John Dunlop – both based in the firm’s Edinburgh office – provided advice and completed the lease of the unique premises for the global brand.

The pair also completed leases for two kiosk units for Krispy Kreme UK in Aberdeen and Dundee, both of which opened in September this year.

Mr Mitchell, said: “It has been great to have advised Krispy Kreme UK on this latest drive-thru restaurant, which also happens to be their largest in UK.

“The brand is very popular in Scotland and in the UK as a whole and we wish them the best of luck as they expand their footprint.”
