Shoosmiths hosts fashion show for Smart Works Edinburgh
Shoosmiths has raised more than £600 for Edinburgh Women’s charity, Smart Works, by hosting a fashion show at their Saltire Court office in the heart of Edinburgh.
More than 60 guests, including clients, family and friends attended the ticketed event, where staff took to the catwalk wearing clothes from some of Scotland’s best boutiques, including Kakao by K, Covet, ALC and White Rabbits.
Smart Works was established in Edinburgh in 2014 and has assisted more than 200 women since - providing work outfits from their stock of high-quality clothes donated by the public, local businesses and retailers.
With styling advice and interview training offered too, the support helps women feel more confident and increases their chances of securing jobs.
Marika Franceschi, family partner in the Shoosmiths Edinburgh office, said: “All staff throughout the office have come together to organise a spectacular evening, which has been enjoyed by all.
“It has been a pleasure to host and organise this event for such a worthy cause and would like to thank everyone involved.”
Frippy Fyfe, founder of Smart Works Edinburgh, said: “Thanks to the support of organisations like Shoosmiths, Smart Works Edinburgh is able to support more women back to work with our dressing, styling and interview training services. With these services we boost confidence and help women believe in themselves and succeed in their job interview.”
