Shoosmiths’ team stride out for kiltwalk and mental health
On Sunday 13 fit and hardy lawyers from Shoosmiths’ office in Edinburgh donned their hiking boots and kilts to join thousands of others for the annual Edinburgh Kiltwalk.
Even before reaching the start line, Shoosmiths team of lawyers and support staff, including representatives of the real estate, corporate and litigation departments, had raised over £6,000 for their chosen charity, Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH).
Resplendent in their kilts and mini kilts (pictured), Shoosmiths’ team was split across two different routes. Some tested their stamina on the 21-mile Mighty Stride that started in Holyrood Park while others focused on the 11-mile Big Stroll from Musselburgh. Striding out for a very good cause, all finished tired but happy at Murrayfield Stadium.
Alison Gilson, corporate partner and head of Shoosmiths Edinburgh office, said: “Shoosmiths is very proud to have participated in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk and raised funds for Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH).
“We all have mental health and it’s fantastic that my colleagues in Edinburgh put their best foot forward to fundraise for a cause that does phenomenal work every day to actively support those in need.”
