SnapDragon Monitoring appoints Ewan McIntyre as first general counsel
Edinburgh-based SnapDragon Monitoring, an online brand protection and reputation management specialist, has appointed commercial lawyer Ewan McIntyre as its first general counsel.
Mr McIntyre brings extensive commercial legal experience to the business along with expertise in the technology and intellectual property sectors. He was formerly a partner with Burness Paull and a consultant with Burges Salmon.
Rachel Jones, founder and CEO of SnapDragon Monitoring, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ewan to our growing team. Brands and consumers are increasingly being defrauded by criminals. The more we can do to drive awareness of these threats, which are ever-evolving, the better.
“As part of his role, Ewan will be using his extensive legal expertise to drive further awareness around the many online threats posed to consumers and brands. At best, an unwitting bargain hunter may receive a poor quality copycat product: at worst they can be scarred for life.”
SnapDragon is one of Scotland’s technology successes, operating internationally from its bases in Edinburgh and Dublin, supporting successful brands and law/IP firms with a multi-lingual team.
