Social housing litigation expert Stephen Humphreys joins BTO
BTO has announced the appointment of social housing litigation specialist Stephen Humphreys as a consultant.
Mr Humphreys brings to the firm specialist knowledge in housing law, property and construction litigation, contentious insolvency and debt recovery litigation, as well as extensive experience in managing significant Court of Session and Sheriff Court actions.
He will work closely with Karen Brodie, property partner and head of BTO’s social housing team, as well as Grant Hunter, head of litigation.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr Hunter said: “Stephen’s expertise in social housing litigation was a particular attraction to us, including his broad knowledge of landlord/tenant disputes.”
Mr Humphreys added: “I am very pleased to have joined the BTO team.
“The firm is highly respected in the market for being a full service firm with many excellent lawyers and, especially important to me, with strong and committed social housing and litigation teams.
“I look forward to building on BTO’s already established client base in the social housing sector.”
