Soul and gospel concert to be held in support of Child Brain Injury Trust
On Saturday 20 August, Edinburgh’s Phoenix Choir will be staging an up-beat, fast-paced soul and gospel concert in the heart of Edinburgh’s old town in order to raise money for the Child Brain Injury Trust, a charity that supports children and young people who have sustained acquired brain injuries.
With a repertoire that includes soaring gospel, funky soul, Motown, R&B and contemporary tunes, this promises to be an uplifting show for a great cause! There will also be the chance to place a bid via silent auction and “buy a song”’ in the choir’s next performance. The winning bidder will receive two tickets to the next show so, if your favourite funky tune isn’t included in this performance, you can be choir master for a moment and make sure you get to hear it next time!
All proceeds from the show and any monies raised on the night will go towards the charity’s work with families in Scotland. Places are limited so grab your tickets for a fab show and a great cause.

About the Child Brain Injury Trust
An acquired brain injury can be caused by an accident, illness, brain tumour, stroke or haemorrhage. Whilst bones can heal and scars may fade, a brain injury is with you for life, affecting everything you think, feel and do. In children and young people, a brain injury affects the acquisition of new skills so the full extent of their injury may be unknown until the brain finishes developing in their early 20s. The Child Brain Injury Trust provides uniquely tailored emotional and practical support for injured children, their families and the professionals who work with them. Please visit our website (www.childbraininjurytrust.org.uk) or Facebook page (www.facebook.com/childbraininjurytrust) to find out more.
The venue and complimentary teas and coffees are being generously provided by the Faculty of Advocates (www.advocates.org.uk); we thank Compass Chambers (www.compasschambers.com) for their help in securing this.
