Sporting silk to sit on rugby bench
A sporting silk will be able to combine work and pleasure after being appointed to Scottish Rugby’s discipline panel.
Matt Jackson QC was a keen rugby player and still takes great interest in the game.
During his career at the Faculty of Advocates, Mr Jackson has represented players before the panel, and he has now been invited to join it as a legally qualified member.
“After 30 or more years of playing and coaching it will be nice to give back, and to combine at least some of my professional experience with a sport that has given me so much pleasure (and not a little pain) over those years,” he said.
