STEP awards Burness Paull platinum seal
Burness Paull has announced that its private capital team has been awarded “Platinum Employer Partner” status, the highest level of accreditation of the STEP Employer Partnership Programme. The team currently has four full members of STEP, with two more close to qualifying.
Colin McKenzie, partner and head of private capital at Burness Paull, said: “We’ve invested heavily in our team to ensure our clients continue to receive the best service and advice. Working alongside our corporate finance team we are also increasingly advising business owners on legacy and succession planning.
“The accreditation from STEP is an endorsement of the strength of our people and our strategy. It signals to stakeholders, prospective employees and the general business community that we value professional development and substantiate this with resources and a supportive organisational learning culture.
“STEP has members across 95 countries, bringing together the best estate practitioners in each. This has real benefits to clients, and is aligned to our wider international strategy, enabling a joined up service across different geographic regions.”
Gemma Copestick, senior manager Employer Partnerships at STEP, said: “Burness Paull submitted a very thorough and comprehensive application, which evidenced an impressive range of learning and professional development resources and opportunities, underpinned by strong leadership.
“We are delighted to welcome the firm to the STEP Employer Partnership Programme as a Platinum Employer Partner and extend our congratulations.”
