Steven McAllister joins Addleshaw Goddard
Addleshaw Goddard has recruited Steven McAllister as a partner in its real estate team in Scotland.
Mr McAllister, who joins the firm from Davidson Chalmers Stewart, specialises on real estate matters within the energy & utilities sector with wide experience in all renewable technologies, including wind, solar, battery storage and transmission/grid connection infrastructure.
He was previously in-house legal counsel in Glasgow for the world’s largest independent renewable energy generator, Renewable Energy Systems.
Alastair Cowan, partner in the real estate team at Addleshaw Goddard, said: “It is great to welcome Steven and he’ll be a valuable addition to our team, particularly clients operating in the energy space to whom we provide the full range of legal services. The Scottish energy market is growing, with huge opportunities particularly in relation to renewables - which are at the heart of the country’s future economic prosperity.
“Steven brings a fantastic reputation and great credentials, adding to our wealth of expertise from an extensive multi-jurisdictional network and deep resource of energy lawyers throughout the UK and internationally.”
Mr McAllister said: “I am thrilled to be joining a firm with the pedigree, ambition and international reach of Addleshaw Goddard. With the energy transition picking up pace there is so much opportunity in the Scottish market and we are well placed to help clients navigate their way through the obstacles as the world moves towards a more sustainable future.
“Decarbonisation, and the role of renewables within that, is now front and centre for organisations in all sectors, not just energy producers, and I look forward to working with the team at Addleshaw Goddard to assist our clients on their net zero journeys.”
