Stewart Balfour & Sutherland raise a few dingo dollars to helps vets Down Under
Argyll solicitors Stewart Balfour & Sutherland invited guests to dress up and part with a few dingo dollars to attend a charity screening of the Australian cult film Priscilla Queen of the Desert at the historic Campbeltown Picture House.
The theme for the evening was “Furry Ears and Fabulous” and all the money raised – in excess of £1,500 – was sent Down Under to assist vets caring for animals injured in the recent Bush Fires.
SBS partner Campbell ‘the koala’ Read hailed the night as a great success and thanked everyone who contributed to the event including William McLean the ‘busking piper’ who greeted guests with a special rendition of Waltzing Matilda.
He told SLN: “If you look Down Under and the bush is burning then you can rely on a Scottish lawyer to didgeridoo what’s right.”
