Strathclyde students establish mediation society
Students at the University of Strathclyde have founded the University’s first mediation society and are looking for help from volunteers.
It intends to give law students an introduction to practical mediation and a range of transferable skills which they can use in their future career.
There has been substantial uptake so far, with over 100 students intending to compete in a competition the society is hosting.
In light of this uptake the society is looking for interested volunteers to help train the students in small sessions of four people at a time.
It is also looking for judges for its competition on the 11th of December when the first round is scheduled and surrounding dates for those who cannot make it.
