Strong showing for Arnot Manderson Advocates in latest Legal 500
Arnot Manderson Advocates has again received high praise from the Legal 500 upon the release of the latest bar rankings. Members were ranked across all seven practice areas, further solidifying its reputation as a leading full-service Stable.
Leading the way is experienced and respected silk Duncan Hamilton who is ranked Tier 1 in Crime and Regulatory and Administrative and Public Law and in Personal Injury and Medical Negligence where it was said that “Duncan is highly skilled in PI and medical negligence litigation. He is approachable, accommodating and pragmatic. A sophisticated advocate”.
The Arnot Manderson Personal Injury Group (AMPIL) had a solid showing with recognition for Nick Gardiner and Charles Oliver with Jonathan Deans being noted as a Rising Star in the field. Charles, who was awarded Legal 500 Scotland Junior of the Year and is nominated for the same award this year, was also ranked in the Property and Planning and Commercial Disputed Categories.
There was a particularly strong showing for the members of the Stable’s Commercial Practice Group, with head of the group Fergus Whyte joining Charles Oliver, David Turner and silk Iain Mitchell KC. Iain was also ranked once again alongside Hugh Olson in the Employment category.
Besides his ranking in the PI and Med Neg category Jonathan Deans was also acknowledged as a rising star in the Crime and Regulatory category where he was praised for “an astonishingly comprehensive knowledge of the law in criminal appeal work. His very detailed preparation, and his clear and exact written work, supports his powerful advocacy skills”.
Rounding off the rankings is AM Family Law Sarah Trainer who is noted as a Leading Junior in the Private Client section which follows on from a successive nomination for Junior of the Year in the forthcoming Legal 500 Scotland Awards.
