Student receives SLN trophy for top law review essay
Anna Owens, a fourth year LLB student with an interest in commercial law, won the Scottish Legal News Law Review 2015/16 trophy for her “critical analysis of the requirements for the grant of a European Account Preservation Order with reference to the equivalent rules in Scotland.”
SLN assistant editor Kapil Summan, who selected Anna’s essay from an anonymised proof of this year’s review said that it “stood out for its original analysis, presented in straightforward language.”
Chris Lewis-Laverty, editor-in-chief of the Law Review said that it has been a “great” year for the publication after it received “substantially more articles than in previous years”.
He added: “The Law Review wouldn’t be more than an idea without the kind sponsorship of our various supporters.
“On behalf of the Law Review committee at Glasgow University many thanks goes to our generous sponsors who’ve encouraged and assisted in another successful and enjoyable year.”
