SYLA to host Criminal Day Conference in November
The Scottish Young Lawyers’ Association (SYLA) will host its annual Criminal Day Conference next month in association with the Scottish Criminal Bar Association (SCBA).
The one-day conference is taking place in the Corinthian, Glasgow on Saturday 7 November 2015.
Thomas Ross, SCBA president will address delegates in relation to eye witness identification, while Donald Findlay QC will deliver a masterclass on Jury Speeches and Drew Mackenzieand Simon Gilbridge will share their expertise on trials with co-accused and automatism respectively.
In the afternoon session, Shelagh McCall QC will deliver an update on Appeals, Fred Macintosh will address delegates on stop and search in relation to misues of drugs, and Brian McConnachie QC will share his wealth of experience on the matter of cross examination.
The conference will close with a drinks reception.
