In the new rankings, released today, members of Terra Firma were ranked as leading practitioners for civil liberties, human rights, public inquiries, and public and administrative law; commercial litigation; company and insolvency; employment; planning, environmental and licensing; property, construction and agriculture; and tax, trusts and pensions.

The guide states: “Terra Firma Chambers is, for some, ‘the stand-out planning stable – it has unrivaled strength-in-depth and as such solicitors know they will be able to get the best counsel available’, but property and tax are also strong suits for the stable.”

The clerking team also received special praise: “The clerks, who ‘always bend over backward to help’, are ‘easily among the best in Parliament House’.”

In addition, there were further recommendations for its dual-qualified members in respect of their practices at the Bar of England and Wales, including an additional four rankings for ‘double silk’ James Findlay QC.
