Terra Firma welcomes Roddy MacLeod
Terra Firma Chambers is delighted to announce that Roddy MacLeod has joined the stable having called to the bar today.
Prior to calling, Mr MacLeod was a solicitor in private practice for 15 years, working in some of Scotland’s largest commercial firms. In that time he acted for a variety of commercial, public and private clients within the general practice area of commercial and regulatory litigation. He has amassed experience of a broad range of commercial disputes; including competition law investigations, sports discipline cases, and numerous regulatory tribunals.
He has particular experience of: succession and adults with incapacity; property; tax; and health and safety. In addition to undertaking proofs, debates, appeals and other hearings within Courts and Tribunals throughout Scotland, Mr MacLeod has undertaken alternative dispute resolution, including mediations and arbitrations. He also has experience of international litigation and mediation.
Mr MacLeod‘s particular interest, for which he is recognised by solicitors throughout Scotland, is “contentious succession”. As a solicitor, he was acknowledged by the Legal 500 for his work in this field. He writes and presents commentary on this topic regularly and is authoring a forthcoming book on the subject; to be published by Greens.
Emma Potter, practice manager at Terra Firma said: “I am very pleased to welcome Roddy to Terra Firma Chambers. His considerable experience and expertise within our core areas of practice make him ideal fits for Terra Firma and I am certain that he prove to be very valuable addition to the stable.”
