Neil Beynon considers recent Public International Law (PIL) in respect of the prohibition of a sovereign state acting relative to aircraft and state sovereignty over its airspace.
“The title is taken from a chorus in Haydn’s Oratorio “The Creation”. The work was first performed in Vienna in 1799; its texts are from the Book of Genesis. Vienna has played and plays a very important role as the locus for international treaties being agreed to and the headquarters of international organisations and less formal entities such as OPEC (the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries); some exporters belong, others such as the UK, do not and will never become so.”
