Thorntons to launch first Inverness office
Thorntons is opening its first office in Inverness.
The firm has secured premises within Beechwood Business Park with space to develop a legal presence in the city.
The new Inverness practice will offer private client services including wills, trusts, and tax planning, while also providing specialist business law advice to clients operating in the city’s most prominent sectors including commercial real estate, agriculture, life sciences, energy and renewables, and hospitality.
Inverness will be the firm’s 14th location and its first in the Highlands, helping to significantly expand Thorntons’s geographical footprint as it seeks to become Scotland’s foremost independent law firm.
After many years of working with clients in Glasgow, Thorntons recently opened its first permanent office in the city, where it hopes to replicate the success of its Edinburgh practice which launched in 2004 with three staff and now has more than 100 people.
Lesley Larg, managing partner, Thorntons, said: “These are very exciting times for our firm as we prepare to open our second new office of the year, this time in the flourishing city of Inverness.
“As one of Scotland’s few independent full-service law firms we have something unique to offer to the local marketplace and we look forward to introducing our services to a wide range of prospective clients.”
