Three new hires at Weightmans in Glasgow
Weightmans has made three appointments in its Glasgow office.
Joanne Farrell joins the firm as a principal associate. She is a specialist defence personal injury solicitor and has joined the firm’s insurance litigation team. Previously at BTO Solicitors LLP for almost 20 years, she brings with her extensive experience in handling claims for the most devastating spinal injuries to brain injuries, multiple severe orthopaedic and crushing injuries, and fatal claims.
Livia Ziegelmeyer has been appointed as an associate in the firm’s commercial real estate team. She joins from MacRoberts LLP and is qualified in Brazilian, Portuguese and Scots law.
She has expertise in residential and commercial property transactions, with a particular focus on security work for lenders and advising high net worth investors on development projects in Scotland.
The firm has also welcomed Carly Grimason as a trainee solicitor. Ms Grimason gained her LLB from the University of Glasgow.
Alongside the new hires, Weightmans has also retained Rebecca Ellis, who recently completed her training with the Glasgow team to become a fully qualified solicitor in litigation.
