Law Society in-house rising stars 2024 award launches
The Law Society of Scotland is looking to spotlight Scotland’s newest in-house talent with the launch of this year’s In-House Rising Star Award.
The annual competition, which is in its 12th year, provides recognition for the important work of in-house practitioners and in particular the contribution of trainees and recently qualified solicitors.
In-house teams are being encouraged to nominate the best emerging talent in their workplaces with up to five years post qualification experience.
Jennifer Malcolm, member of the In-house Lawyers Committee and a judge on this year’s panel, said: “It’s a real joy to see the upcoming talent that exists in the in-house community and it’s a privilege for us to be able to showcase the depth of expertise and knowledge of in-house lawyers with the In-House Rising Star Award.”
On winning last year’s In-House Rising Star award, Christopher Knudsen, said: “I’m really grateful to have been given this award. Originally, I didn’t think it was for me. There’s plenty of superstar in-house Scottish lawyers that are equally deserving for the work they do. I wouldn’t be where I am without these talented in-house peers who I’ve learned a huge amount from through various community events.”
