TLT bolsters Scotland office with real estate partner
TLT has appointed Richard Turnbull as a real estate partner. He will work out of the firm’s Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.
Mr Turnbull joins from Pinsent Masons and specialises in the property aspects of energy transactions. He has extensive experience in onshore and offshore wind, wave and tidal, biomass, solar, hydro and energy from waste developments having acting for developers, landowners and funders.
He regularly advises on land assembly issues, title and property due diligence, securing options to lease, access agreements, project acquisitions and project disposals. He is also qualified in Scotland and England & Wales.
TLT’s Tom McEntegart, partner and head of TLT Scotland said: “Richard joins us at an exciting time. Our ambitious growth plans and continuing success in our chosen sectors have seen revenues in Scotland increase by around 45 per cent in the last two years.
“Richard’s industry expertise and local knowledge complements and develops our cross-jurisdictional real estate offering to our growing national client base.”
Since merging with Anderson Fyfe in 2012, TLT LLP continues to expand and is now 85-strong in Scotland. Significant hires include licensing partner Stephen McGowan, employment partner Jonathan Rennie and real estate associate Simon Williams.
In the last two years TLT Scotland has moved into larger offices in Edinburgh and took on a further floor at its office building on 140 West George Street, Glasgow.
TLT’s Scotland offices act for a variety of clients including Barclays, Punch, Ecotricity and Sainsbury’s.
