Irwin Mitchell Scotland has welcomed Izabela Wosiak, Rachel Brown and Emma McCutcheon to its personal injury team.
Ms Wosiak, who joins the firm as senior associate solicitor, has 17 years’ experience supporting foreign clients injured in Scotland or abroad.
She obtained her master’s degree in law from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland, before continuing her education in Edinburgh.
She began her career as a paralegal in 2007 and qualified as a solicitor 10 years later. She is also a notary public.
Ms Wosiak is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and The Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Ms Brown, who has joined the firm as a solicitor, works in serious injury and abuse claims. She commenced her traineeship in 2022 after three years as a paralegal.
She formerly worked for the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority and the Scottish government. Alongside her work, she is also a member of the Children’s Panel.
Ms McCutcheon, who specialises in abuse cases, has joined Irwin Mitchell as a paralegal. She is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland in reparation law and civil litigation.
She previously worked with the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry and is also vice-president of the Scottish Paralegal Association.
Kim Leslie, head of personal injury at Irwin Mitchell Scotland, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Izabela, Emma and Rachel to Irwin Mitchell, with their backgrounds and expertise making them the perfect additions to the team.
“While we’ve been a prominent law firm in England and Wales for some time, since I joined in May we’ve strengthened in Scotland, and attracting talented fellow professionals to join the existing strong personal injury team is testament to our plans for growth in Scotland.
“I’ve worked with Izabela, Emma and Rachel in the past, and seen first-hand their tenacity and commitment to delivering results for clients. Each of them will bring their own strengths to the team as we seek to support more clients across Scotland.”
