Tumbling Lassie Seminar 2023

A fascinating programme will include a case study from Kath Harper, advocate depute on the Gombar case of sexual exploitation across borders, insights from Police Scotland’s detective superintendent Steven Bertram as head of the Human Trafficking Unit, and a view from Lia Husarciuc who works with International Justice Mission (IJM) in Romania and beyond. Added into the mix is Joy Gillespie from SOHTIS (Survivors of Human Trafficking in Scotland) on current challenges and the Illegal Migration Bill.

There will be a panel discussion of Q & A to look in more detail at the issues raised.

Please come along, bring others and collect 3 hours’ CPD (as an advocate).

The event is free to attend – but there will be an opportunity to make a voluntary contribution towards the work of IJM and SOHTIS.
