Digby Brown lawyers earn brain and spinal injury accreditations
Digby Brown partner Stuart Barton and associate Elizabeth Morrison have received APIL accreditation for both brain and spinal cord injuries.
The pair, who litigate within Digby Brown’s serious injury team, were recognised for their track record in delivering industry-leading results in complex matters.
In addition to already earning APIL senior litigator status, accreditation for brain injury cases requires solicitors to deliver results on 10 brain injury cases and three of these must be on behalf of incapable adults.
Accreditation for spinal injury claims also requires 10 successful results and five of these must be on behalf of tetraplegic survivors.
To date, Digby Brown’s Moira Kay has been the only person to hold both APIL accreditations at the same time after being recognised in 2018. It means the trio are the only solicitors in Scotland to hold both accreditations.
Chris Stewart, partner and head of serious injury at Digby Brown Solicitors, said: “I sincerely commend both Stuart and Elizabeth for their rightful APIL accreditations – they are thoroughly deserving.
“Stuart and Elizabeth are both highly regarded through the personal injury community – their legal expertise is matched only by their continued desire to help others.
“It is exceptionally rare for a single solicitor to be recognised for both brain and spinal cord injuries at the same time so having three specialists here is a real testament to the quality of our litigation, the commitment the firm has to the development of its people and the continued public trust in Digby Brown.”
