Two new partners join HBJ Gateley as growth continues
HBJ Gateley has added another two new partners after reporting strong growth and a seven-strong senior hiring round at the end of last year.
Corporate partner Anna Brown (pictured right) andconstruction partner Alison Horner will both join the firm, having both spent several years as partners at Pinsent Masons and MacRoberts respectively.
Ms Brown’s recent experience includes acting for Aberdeen Infrastructure Fund in the acquisition of a portfolio of 16 PPP/PFI projects across the UK and Europe, for AIM listed Craneware plc in several acquisitions and AIM listed Castle Street Investments plc (formerly Cupid plc) in the £43 million sale of its casual dating business and subsequent disposal of its traditional dating business.
She has over 25 years’ experience in acting for companies and entrepreneurs through all stages of their growth and development from start up, investment, acquisition, reorganisation, IPO and other exits. She brings a wealth of experience acting for clients across a broad range of sectors including technology, infrastructure, energy, financial services and life sciences, recently advising the shareholders of BioOutsource in the sale to Sartorius Stedim Biotech.
Ms Horner (pictured right), who is dual-qualified in Scotland and England, has specialised in non-contentious construction law for more than 20 years and is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland.
She has experience in all aspects of private and public sector construction, including energy projects and various project finance models, across Scotland and England.
Her recent client work has included advising Muse Developments Limited on construction contracts for the £100m Marischal Square redevelopment in Aberdeen and advising on a construction joint venture in relation to a significant energy from waste project.
