Virginia Giuffre could be required to disclose the details of her recent settlement with Prince Andrew in a separate legal battle with Jeffrey Epstein’s former lawyer Professor Alan Dershowitz, who denies her accusations of rape.

Ms Giuffre alleges that she was forced to have sex with Professor Dershowitz at least six times, starting when she was 16, as part of the notorious sex trafficking operation run by Epstein. He denies all of her allegations.

In 2019, Ms Giuffre brought defamation proceedings against Professor Dershowitz in New York. In turn, he has brought defamation proceedings against her.

As part of his lawsuit, he has requested that Ms Giuffre be “required to produce documents sufficient to disclose all details of her settlements with Prince Andrew and the estate of Jeffrey Epstein, including the amount of those settlements”, The Times reports.

The Duke of York, who denies sexually assaulting Ms Giuffre on three occasions when she was 17, reached an out-of-court settlement with her last week.

Even if disclosed to Professor Dershowitz, the value of the settlement could remain hidden from the public. Some media reports have suggested the figure is between £10 million and £12 million.
