Virtual launch for new book on citizens and the constitution in uncertain times
A new book by an academic at Edinburgh Law School is to be launched at a virtual event this month.
The People in Question: Citizens and Constitutions in Uncertain Times, by Professor Jo Shaw, will be launched at an event chaired by Professor Neil Walker.
Professor Shaw will present her book with a short response from Professor Sandra Seubert from Goethe-Universität Frankfurt. A representative of publisher Bristol University Press will be present and will speak briefly, to be followed by a Q&A session.
Following the event from 1730 to 1830 on June 18, there will be the opportunity to remain online to ‘meet and mingle’ with speakers and other attendees in ‘breakout rooms’.
Professor Shaw has also produced an essay which updates the book to take into consideration the current crisis – The pandemic and the people: a short essay.
This event is free and open to all. Registration is, however, required. The event’s Zoom link will be sent to all attendees prior to the event date. A brief video about the book can be viewed here.
