The Glasgow team, led by Claire McCracken, advised on 17 acquisitions in 2022. Notable deals in the space included advising national dental group Dentex Healthcare on a series of acquisitions, including two Glasgow-based practices, Shawlands Dental Care and Orchard Park Dental Practice.

Weightmans also advised on three notable disposals across the year, including the sale of Glasgow-based research institute SB Drug Discovery to the acquisitive Sygnature Discovery, as well as the refinancing and employee buyout of Edinburgh-based Photonic Solutions from Panoramic Growth Equity.
