Westwater Advocates welcomes Melanie Barbour and Antonia Welsh
Melanie Barbour and Antonia Welsh have joined Westwater Advocates.
Ms Barbour practised mainly as a local authority solicitor and is also a legal member of the Housing and Property Chamber of the First Tier Tribunal.
She has valuable practical experience and knowledge across a wide range of the stable’s core areas, including property, mental health, adults with incapacity, licensing, adoption, permanency orders and child protection.
She also brings a wealth of experience in and enthusiasm for planning matters which increases our strength in that area. Her devilmaster Kirsty Malcolm said: “I am delighted that Melanie will be joining us. Her past experience in key practice areas of the Stable will enhance our offering, and I am sure this will provide her with a great platform from which to build her career at the bar.”
Ms Welsh trained with Levy & McRae and Clyde & Co prior to commencing devilling. Her devilmaster, Rachel Shewan, said: “Antonia has impressed throughout her period of devilling as being knowledgeable, hard working, enthusiastic and personable. She has a particular interest in family law and has already demonstrated an ability to provide reassurance and put clients at ease. Antonia will be a real asset to the stable.”
