Wolverhampton Wanderers threatens Brew-Dog with legal action over new logo

Football club Wolverhampton Wanderers has threatened craft ale makers Brew-Dog with possible legal action over a new design.

The Elgin-based brewer has revealed a new logo for its “Lone Wolf” spirits range but the club has demanded an explanation over the similarity of the wolf to its own.

Wolves’ logo is a protected trademark and it has now contacted the company.

The club’s marketing boss Matt Grayson said: “This is a serious matter which has been independently raised by a large number of people.

“Therefore, it’s causing confusion among our supporters and the public and we’ll be contacting Brew-Dog to seek more details and to bring our registered trademarks to their attention.”
