Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie and Irwin Mitchell celebrate partnership at Glasgow event
Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP (WJM) and Irwin Mitchell toasted their partnership at an event held at WJM’s Glasgow office on Tuesday.
Attendees spent the evening with British Athletics superstars Callum Hawkins, Jemma Reekie and Maria Lyle.
Mark Higgins, managing partner for Irwin Mitchell in Scotland, said: “We’re passionate about our sporting partnerships, celebrating talent and excellence.
“These top-level athletes represent Scotland and Britain with pride, striving for excellence and continued improvement – values that deeply resonate with us as we strive to set the standard in our industry.
“As we embark on an Olympic and Paralympic year alongside remarkable athletes like Callum, Jemma and Maria, it also marks a real milestone year for our firms as we endeavour to grow and succeed together.”
The investment sees Irwin Mitchell partners Bruce Macmillan, Craig Marshall, and Mark Higgins join the newly-formed WJM management board as the two firms seek to share best practice and take advantage of opportunities to further grow their businesses.
WJM will continue to operate under that brand in Scotland for the immediate future with managing partner Fraser Gillies heading up operations.
He commented: “Since we announced these plans at the end of last year, it’s been an exciting and encouraging journey. I’m sure I speak on behalf of everyone at WJM and our colleagues at Irwin Mitchell when I say we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
“We were honoured to be joined by Scottish athletes Callum Hawkins, Jemma Reekie and Maria Lyle.
“All three are experts in their field and it was fascinating to learn more about what drives them and how they deal with challenges.”
