Employment Law Update - Employment Rights Bill | Law Society of Scotland

16 October 2024

Live online | 1 hour’s verifiable CPD

Join us in October to review the proposed Employment Rights Bill and to discuss areas for reform.

It’s expected that the Employment Rights Bill will include a ban on zero-hour contracts and the controversial practice of ‘Fire and Rehire.’ Additionally, the government is proposing to extend rights regarding parental leave, sick pay, flexible working and unfair dismissal to all workers.

This session will involve an open discussion of these proposed changes and will consider the implications for workers in the United Kingdom. We will also focus on what preparative action you may need to take, should the bill pass successfully.
