Dispute Resolution Solicitor (2 years' PQE plus) – Harper Macleod LLP

Due to a period of growth, we are looking to expand our Dispute Resolution practice and we are recruiting for a solicitor to join our Glasgow team.

Harper Macleod’s Dispute Resolution team is one of the largest in the country and was named Litigation Team of the Year at the 2017 Scottish Legal Awards. It deals with a broad range of commercial and other civil disputes for clients in the private and public sectors, including high value and complex litigated cases in the Court of Session and Sheriff Court.

The role will be varied and challenging and the workload may involve advising clients on contentious matters across the full range of specialisms practiced by the team, including banking and financial services litigation, sports law, professional negligence, property litigation, disputes in energy, construction and engineering projects, contractual disputes, contentious planning and environmental law and public & administrative law.

We are seeking a candidate with at least two years’ experience of working in a dispute resolution role. The successful applicant will be a self-starter, capable of dealing with a wide variety of client enquiries, with excellent technical skills and attention to detail, and will have experience conducting their own advocacy. They should also be able to work confidently in a fast-moving environment and able to handle a challenging caseload.

We are a business that has been named Law Firm of the Year eight times and which has delivered long-term growth in turnover and profitability. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package and the opportunity to develop your career over a period which will bring exciting challenges and opportunities for everyone involved.
