We are currently looking to attract an experienced paralegal to join our highly regarded insurance litigation team in our Glasgow office.
The caseload for this role will involve the defence of all types of short tail and long tail Occupational Disease work as well as exposure to a variety of Personal Injury claims. Day to day duties will include handling claims and litigation from start to finish, carrying out investigations into liability and quantum, obtaining precognitions, instructing and analysing medical evidence, reporting to clients and dealing with all procedural aspects of a file. There will also be the opportunity to assist senior colleagues with high value and complex cases in the Court of Session.
Our insurance customers include 15 of the top 20 top UK insurers, along with the legacy market, leading brokers, MGAs, loss adjusters and other intermediaries. From our offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh we provide advice on all aspects of insurance risk management within the Scottish jurisdiction to our insurer, legacy, corporate and broker customers. This includes the provision of claims management solutions and litigation handling.
We are keen to hear from candidates with the ability to work proactively and analyse, evaluate and communicate information logically. Experience in Disease and/or Personal Injury would be of great advantage, together with proficient IT skills.
