Thorntons has one of the largest Residential Property teams in Scotland, helping clients across the country with all aspects of property transactions. Our team are experts in the local markets, and we pride ourselves on delivering a professional and personal service to clients throughout every transaction. We are recruiting for a number of our locations including Edinburgh, Dundee, Fife and Angus and our hybrid working approach allows for a blend of working at home as well as in the office.

Where every day is different

Our team advise clients on the full range of transactions including purchasing, selling and re-mortgaging. Our Paralegals manage transactions from start to finish, meeting with clients, taking instructions, managing offers, negotiating and adjusting terms of accepted offers, concluding missives, preparing and adjusting drafts/title deeds and overseeing the settlement and registration process, keeping clients updated through every step of the process.

About you

You will have a solid bank of previous experience in a Conveyancing Paralegal role and be able to manage a transaction from start to finish. You will be passionate about property and client service and be committed to building and sustaining enduring client relationships. Knowledge of local property markets will be an advantage in this role. You will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills necessary to work in a busy multi location team. Excellent time management and organisational skills are important for this role as you will be required to work to deadlines and manage a busy caseload.

  • Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, 35 hrs per week. (Flexible working considered)
