Senior Solicitor (Property and Projects) (Permanent)
Based at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley.
You will provide legal advice and support the Councils major projects delivery including City Deal and the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland. The post will have a property focus but will provide opportunities to gain experience in other areas of projects work such as projects, construction, planning and procurement. Working within Chief Executive’s you will be part of our multi-disciplinary City Deal Team. Projects work is by its nature flexible and exciting with opportunities to become involved in a wide range of law and is excellent for developing expertise and knowledge in a number of areas.
You must hold, or be eligible to hold, a current Practising Certificate from Law Society of Scotland, be able to carry out a range of tasks within a broad property-based remit and manage a demanding workload with minimum supervision. It is also essential that you have effective interpersonal, communication and report writing skills, together with the ability to work as part of a team. Experience and knowledge of other areas of law in particular, projects and construction would be beneficial but not essential.
