Associate (1-3 PQE)

At Addleshaw Goddard we are looking for an Associate (1-3 PQE) to join our Infrastructure, Projects & Energy team in our Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

Role Purpose: Join our expanding team to play a pivotal role across a broad range of sectors including infrastructure, energy, transport, health, and government, contributing to our growth strategy.

The Team: We are a leading multi-disciplinary legal team, advising a diverse client base on high-profile and innovative projects worldwide. Our expertise spans across various sectors such as waste management, renewable energy, transport, and healthcare. Our work includes advising on landmark projects like the Gas to the West pipeline and the Femern tunnel, offering a rich variety of experiences from large transactions to smaller matters, in a supportive environment with opportunities for specialization.

Recent Work: Our recent projects include advising major energy suppliers, Hitachi Rail, Bluefield Solar, National Grid, Red Rock Power, the Department for Transport, Arrival, and over 200 renewable energy projects. We’ve also worked on significant mandates for bp, water companies, and corporate PPAs, showcasing our wide-ranging expertise.

Role Expectations: The role involves drafting and negotiating various documents for energy and infrastructure projects, providing strategic advice on commercial contracts, and engaging in business development. We support continuous development through training, mentoring, and our Associate development programme, aiming for career progression.
Skills and Experience: Candidates should have at least 1 year of PQE in Infrastructure, Projects & Energy, or Commercial Contracts, with a keen interest in the sector. Strong drafting skills, commercial awareness, and a proactive approach to learning and client understanding are essential.
