The Team
Due to expansion, the Scottish Employment department are seeking an experienced Associate to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our busy and successful Employment team. We provide market-leading support to a wide variety of clients including employers in the public sector, education, transport, construction, manufacturing, food and drink, aviation, and the arts as well as senior executives. We advise on all aspects of employment law including: discrimination, whistleblowing, unfair dismissal, redundancy, disciplinary and grievance issues, large scale restructuring projects and TUPE. We have a stellar reputation for providing commercial, pragmatic and accessible advice. Our team are instructed in litigation in the Employment Tribunal and the civil courts and have represented clients in some of the most high profile and high value litigations in Scotland in recent years.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Associate to join our Glasgow team (and be based in Glasgow, on a hybrid working model). The successful candidate will manage a caseload of both contentious and non-contentious matters, including Tribunal appearance work, and will support business development activities.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong technical abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously with support from wider team when needed.
- Ability to build strong client relationships and carry out business development activities.
- Ability to lead more junior team members on projects.
- Ability to mentor and support other team members.
