The Scottish Covid 19 Inquiry will put the conduct of the Scottish Government during the pandemic under the microscope and will make recommendations that will impact on public health and disaster management for decades to come. Thompsons solicitors act on behalf of six different organisations who have been designed as Core Participants at the Inquiry. Collectively they have an interest in all the Inquiry’s Terms of Reference.

We are looking for a Solicitor and will consider from 1 – 10 Years’ PQE to join our Inquiry team to work on this important and interesting project that will surely represent a once in a career opportunity:

Key responsibilities of the role include but not exhaustive:

• Assisting clients in providing written and oral evidence to the Inquiry;
• Attending Inquiry hearings during evidence of our clients and evidence of other witnesses;
• Reviewing Inquiry disclosure;
• Working with the legal team to prepare opening and closing statements;
• Instructing Counsel as required
