Join us as an Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) Lawyer at Barclays. The overall purpose of the role is to provide strategic legal advice and input on the development and implementation of the bank’s Sustainability agenda, as well as day-to-day support to Barclays businesses across the group on transactional and BAU queries, working closely with business coverage lawyers. The role will include supporting interactions between the S&ESG team and external stakeholders including shareholders, regulators, NGOs and industry peers.

To be successful in this role you will need to be an experienced Advisory Lawyer with significant legal experience gained in-house or in a challenging private practice environment. We are looking for someone with subject matter expertise or significant interest and awareness in relation to the ESG agenda, with the ability to advise on new and evolving technical areas of law without established precedent.

This role will be based in our new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow and is a hub of creative collaboration. Home to 5,000 of our colleagues and a short walk from Central Station on the south of the Clyde, it is a key location for the Barclays business.
