This is a key appointment to join the legal team with a remit stretching well beyond being a top-quality lawyer to include leading a capable and talented team through a time of extraordinary ambition within the business as it continues to grow and invest in its people, brands, and processes.
You will be leading the provision of legal services to the BBU Marketing and QSI (Quality Spirits International) teams, to ensure that the organisation maximises opportunity and minimises legal risk in its operations and business relationships.
You will be a qualified legal professional with the following experience gained within industry or private practice:
• Post-qualification experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial and corporate agreements and projects ( c 12+yrs PQE +)
• Experience of managing the critical IP portfolio of a brand led organization
• Dealing with digital projects (including technology, data privacy, analytics and e-commerce) marketing and advertising law including overseas regulatory restrictions (incl. operating in dark markets) and social media marketing.
• Experience of effectively and efficiently managing outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong leadership credentials and experience of leading a team; excellent at relationship building with experience of influencing senior internal and external stakeholders. Ability to add value at Board Level.
• Able to translate complex legal and regulatory and compliance requirements into practical workable solutions for the business.
• Able to thrive in a fast-moving environment; prioritise workloads and deliver against demanding deadlines.
• We want you to be genuinely passionate about our business; experience in FMCG, CPG or a brand-led business is desirable but not essential.
