NQ Solicitor or 2nd Year Trainee Solicitor
Tod & Mitchell Solicitors are delighted to advertise for a NQ Solicitor/2nd Year Trainee Solicitor with Court experience.
We are a firm of solicitors based in Paisley. We specialise in criminal legal aid cases, along with privately funded criminal cases and parole hearings.
The successful applicant will meet the following criteria in that he or she will have:
• Knowledge of and an interest in the criminal law;
• Advocacy skills and an interest in developing those further;
• An ability to work under pressure, and to organise and manage his or her own workload in a flexible and effective manner;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;
• An ability to navigate IT systems, including the firm’s internal system;
• A willingness and ability to gain new skills and grasp new topics quickly;
• Good communication skills, particularly with vulnerable and disadvantaged clients.
There are good prospects for future advancement for the right candidate.
The position will be based at 4 High Street, Paisley, PA1 2YA; with the salary to be discussed.
There is a need for the successful candidate to have a full UK driving licence and to have access to his or her own vehicle.
