Solicitor (1-4 years’ PQE)

Do you find yourself wanting more from your role? Wanting to do work that truly makes a difference in people’s lives? If so, maybe it’s time for a change. Maybe it’s time to consider whether the legal work you do matters, because in the role we have for you, it really matters to the people you’ll help.

Our firm continues to go from strength to strength and, owing to continual growth, we are currently recruiting for a solicitor with 1-4 years’ PQE to join our Clinical Negligence team in either Glasgow or Edinburgh, on a full-time, permanent basis. We think you could be that solicitor.

A civil action against the NHS or other healthcare providers (such as GPs or dental surgeries) is not just about seeking compensation – it can help victims get the answers and recognition they deserve; it ensures those responsible are held accountable for their failings, and it helps improve medical standards to prevent other people experiencing the same trauma.

Our team specialise in a variety of clinical negligence cases, such as:

• Delays in diagnosis
• Cerebral palsy
• Birth injuries
• Surgical error
• Fatal claims

In joining the team, you will benefit from its expertise, experience, resources, and reputation, as you embark upon an exciting new chapter in your career in a very challenging and rewarding area of PI law.

We want you to ask yourself…

• Am I an enthusiastic individual with strong, client-focused litigation skills?
• Do I have some experience in general personal injury law or civil litigation? Or have I been working in commercial litigation and am now looking to move into an area of law where I can make a real difference to clients?
• Do I have a keen eye for detail, the ability to act on my own initiative and a strong desire to help others, with the ability to display an empathetic and proactive approach in dealing with clients?
• Can I be a team player - someone who can manage their own case holding, whilst supporting others in a team with more complex cases?

If the above resonates, and helping people really matters to you, we want you to apply for this post. To do so, please send your CV and covering letter to David Hendrie, by e-mail at recruit@digbybrown.co.uk.
