£24.76 - £27.07
ANNUAL SALARY:
£45,184 - £49,400
HOURS PER WEEK: 35

The Council is seeking to recruit a solicitor to join the in - house Legal team on a permanent basis.   The successful candidate will be expected to work primarily as part of the property and contracts team to undertake a broad range of legal work including research, the provision of advice and the negotiation and conclusion of legal agreements on behalf of all Council service areas with a particular focus on the areas of planning, housing, estates and roads, The successful candidate would also be expected to sit as legal adviser on a variety of regulatory committees. The Applicant should have a current practising certificate and the ability to research and deliver high quality, practical and timely legal advice and guidance in a professional manner whilst managing a broad personal caseload and ensuring proper prioritisation of work. Previous professional involvement in property transactions is essential. The successful candidate should have well developed skills in written and oral communication and be able to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships with other team members, officers of client services, Elected members and the public.

*Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
