As a solicitor in our team, you’ll defend a broad spectrum of cases, from personal injury claims to property damage disputes, including credit hire. The role can be based from either our Glasgow or Edinburgh office, and we offer a hybrid working arrangement with 2 or 3 days working from the office and 2 or 3 days from home.

Responsibilities

  • Managing your own caseload of litigated personal injury actions and property damage claims.
  • You will be collaborating with partners and associates to ensure cases are managed and advanced swiftly and efficiently.
  • Working closely with our valued long-term clients to understand their needs and manage cases in accordance with service level agreements and industry best practice.
    Prioritising tasks effectively to maximise efficiency and productivity in your work.
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Continuously enhancing your technical and commercial expertise through ongoing training and hands-on experience.

What will help you succeed in this role?

  • Post-qualification experience in either pursuing or defending in Motor Fraud Claims, Personal Injury claims, property damage claims/recoveries and/or credit hire claims, with a solid background in litigation.
  • Experience in a fast-paced commercial setting, managing a diverse caseload effectively.
  • Robust technical and commercial knowledge, with a comprehensive understanding of relevant principles and case law.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt, taking initiative while receiving support from a seasoned team.
  • Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
